“Dubakupado” Royalty-Free Music with a grooving feel

I downloaded another African tune from the royalty-free site Incompetech. I absolutely love this genre of music and find myself grooving through my days with African, Funk, Rythm& Blues for my soundtrack. This is a nice solid grooving piece – for 8 percussionists.
In class today, I will show you a website where you can download mp3 files that are FREE & royalty free, also! What that means is that the creator of the music has released their work with a Creative Commons license. There is only one thing that you have to do if you use the mp3 in your own projects:
*You do need to attribute correctly if you are using the Creative Commons license.
Episode 2 features the use of background music in making a podcast. There are several ways to record a podcast and add music to set the tone. If you are interested in downloading royalty free music, you can find TONS of it at Incompetech.
Today in class, we will give a listen to the first few episodes of the DBA Podcast & I will demonstrate posting a new episode.
Class Activity: Register for a free account to host your own podcast episodes.
1. Go to Archive.org 2. Fill out the registration form . Use an email address that you have access to and check often. When you submit your form please make note of your login information so that you don’t forget what you just did!

Today let’s start with a glimpse of the Open Source Podcast with Christopher Lydon. This Episode titled Our Postmodern Myth: “Star Wars” is Back came out in January of 2016 right after The Force Awakens, the latest installment of Star Wars was released in December 2015.
I think it’s really fun to follow a podcast that talks about our culture, because it gives me clues about why we do what we do and think what we think!
