Class Starter:  Do you have Senior-itis?


Senior or not, you need to keep your energy going until school’s out!

Class Activity:  Your favorite project from this semester.

We covered so many applications and topics in this class – what did you get out of it?

1-Review your Google Drive folder and choose a project that improved your skills.

2- Write a blog post that includes that project and explain what you learned and how that project applies to you as a person.

This weekend was “game day” as we mounted my hand painted signs on the building of a local business.  It’s pretty satisfying when entrepreneurs trust a Sign Painter like me to help them be successful!

Class Activity: Group Interview Day!

1- Get in groups of three. Each person will take a turn being:
 *INTERVIEWER  
 *INTERVIEWEE
 *NOTE TAKER

2- Conduct interviews in class using the Sample Interview Questions.  Each person being interviewed will specify which job they are applying for.  (It should be one of the jobs posted last class). The note taker is witnessing and taking notes on the interview.  

3- Rotate rolls within the groups until every person has taken all three rolls.

4- Hand in Interview Feedback Forms to the teacher to complete the assignment.

The following are a few real job postings.  For this  assignment you will select one of these postings and proceed to make a resume designed specifically to submit to the company.  Make a resume that could get you an interview!

-Now scroll down to find templates for resumes and choose one. 
-The template is populated with filler text (Lorem ipsum)  
– Replace the filler text with your information.

Class Activity:  Resume Practice Assignment – Due 4/28 (50 Points)

1- Go to your Google Drive Assignment Folder & create a new Google Document.  Name it “Resume Practice”

2- Download this-> High School Student Resume Worksheet

3- Open the PDF and follow the steps to write a resume for yourself using the Google Document.  Make it as close to your real life experience and interests as you can.
